Deputy Director of Leased Housing
 
This position provides support to the Director of Leased Housing by administering the Cambridge Housing Authority’s (“CHA” or “Authority”) Leased Housing Programs in accordance with the adopted policies of the Authority, as well as state and federal policies and regulations. Leased Housing Programs includes the Housing Choice Voucher Program, Massachusetts Rental Voucher Program, Alternative Housing Voucher Program, Shelter Plus Care, Moderate Rehab Program, VASH Vouchers and other assorted program created under the CHA’s authority as a Moving to Work (MTW) agency. 
 
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's Degree in real estate, public administration, management, business or related field from a four-year college or university; and a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in public housing or assisted housing management, with at least two (2) years experience in a supervisory capacity.  Experience with HUD programs, low-income housing or multi-family housing is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Pay Grade 15-Salary: $ 38.24 /hr

Contract Administrator - Construction
 
This position provides support for all major and minor renovations performed by the Cambridge Housing Authority (“CHA” or “Authority”) through the awarding of contracts to private development and construction firms. Incumbent will be responsible for the administration of the contracts entered into, and ensuring that work performed is of the quality provided in the work specifications. The Contract Administrator supervises other consultants, tradesmen, contractors and engineers as assigned to the renovation project.
 
Education and/or Experience: College level courses taken in architecture, architectural design, or construction (college degree in architecture preferred); and a minimum of three years of experience working with architectural design, contract administration, construction or related areas is required.  Working knowledge of the Massachusetts Building Code Chapter 149 is a plus.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Assistant Contract Administrator – Construction
 

This position provides support to the Cambridge Housing Authority by providing technical and administrative work support involving all major and minor renovation work performed by the Cambridge Housing Authority (“CHA” or “Authority”). Incumbent is responsible for the administration of construction and consulting contracts insuring that the work is performed to specifications. The Assistant Contract Administrator supervises other consultants, tradesmen and contractors assigned to the renovation team, to ensure quality results are achieved.  
 
Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two  years experience in contract compliance, construction, architectural design, contract administration, specification writing or related activities is required. A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. Working knowledge of the Massachusetts Building Code Chapter 149 is highly desirable.  Must have valid Massachusetts driver’s license and be insurable under CHA policies.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
