Which Program Should I Apply For?
There are four types of housing programs available to low-income households looking for federally or state subsidized housing assistance.
The MTW Voucher Program (This waitlist is CURRENTLY CLOSED)
The voucher program helps households rent privately owned, market rate apartments in and around Cambridge. Click

The Single Room Occupancy (SRO) Program
The SRO program provides participants with their own bedrooms in a rooming house-like setting where facilities like bathrooms and kitchens are shared with other residents. Click

Elderly/Disabled Public Housing
The CHA manages over fifteen state and federally supported properties reserved just for elderly and disabled households. Applicants must be at least 58 years old to qualify for elderly housing. Click

Family Public Housing (This waitlist is CURRENTLY CLOSED)
The CHA manages over twenty state and federally supported family developments in Cambridge. CHA's family public housing portfolio includes large and small properties offering studio to six bedroom apartments throughout the City of Cambridge. Click
