Which Program Should I Apply For?
There are four types of housing programs available to low-income households looking for federally or state subsidized housing assistance.

The MTW Voucher Program (This waitlist is CURRENTLY CLOSED)
The voucher program helps households rent privately owned, market rate apartments in and around Cambridge.  Click MTW Voucher Program on the left side of this page to read more about and apply for the voucher program.

The Single Room Occupancy (SRO) Program
The SRO program provides participants with their own bedrooms in a rooming house-like setting where facilities like bathrooms and kitchens are shared with other residents.  Click Single Room Occupancy Program on the left side of this page to read more about and apply for the SRO program.

Elderly/Disabled Public Housing
The CHA manages over fifteen state and federally supported properties reserved just for elderly and disabled households.  Applicants must be at least 58 years old to qualify for elderly housing.  Click Elderly/Disabled Public Housing on the left side of this page to read more about and apply for elderly/disabled public housing.

Family Public Housing (This waitlist is CURRENTLY CLOSED)
