CHA's developments reserved for elderly and disabled low and moderate income households provide safe, affordable homes to over 1,100 households. Located throughout the City, these units include state and federally supported developments.
CHA's properties include physical features and supportive services designed to meet the needs of our elderly and disabled residents. Many of CHA's elderly/disabled properties include entire floors dedicated to frail elders requiring 24 hour services. Healthcare, supportive services, education and social activities are offered in several developments.
Many developments have Tenant Councils and the Alliance of Cambridge Tenants (ACT) actively participates in CHA policy and modernization decisions, particularly those that call for comprehensive housing redesigns. Residents can learn more about participating in resident government and all of the services CHA offers in the Community Resources section of the website.
